Description

Day 1: The journey starts with an early pick-up in Cusco and a drive to Ollantaytambo, followed by a train ride to Km 104 to begin the hike. The trek includes a visit to Callacancha ruins, a climb to Wiñay Wayna for lunch and exploration, and a hike to the Sun Gate for views of Machu Picchu, ending with a descent to Aguas Calientes for dinner and rest. Day 2: The second day begins early with a bus ride to Machu Picchu for a guided tour of the ancient ruins. After exploring and optional additional hikes for panoramic views, the return trip includes a bus to Aguas Calientes, a train to Ollantaytambo, and a bus back to Cusco, concluding the Short Inca Trail adventure.
