Description
Begin your day with a convenient pickup from your hotel in Trujillo. Head north to your first stop, the Huaca Esmeralda, a small but significant site from the Chimú Empire.
Next, visit the Huaca Arco Iris, also known as Huaca Dragón, named for its intricate friezes. Continue to the Chan Chan Site Museum, where you can see original artifacts from the Chimú Empire.
Enter the Chan Chan Citadel for a comprehensive tour of this ancient city. Enjoy some free time in Huanchaco for lunch (not included).
In the afternoon, visit the Huacas de Moche Site Museum, home to original Moche artifacts, ceramics, and textiles. Finally, explore the Huacas del Sol y de la Luna Archaeological Complex, a religious temple of the Moche civilization. Return to Trujillo in the evening.
