Day 1: Puno - Uros - Amantani
Begin your journey departing from Puno, where you'll glide over crystal-clear waters to the floating islands of Uros. Here, you'll learn about the islanders' way of life and their ancient techniques for building islands with totora reeds. Next, set sail to Amantani, where you'll be greeted with traditional hospitality during a homestay. Participate in cultural activities, savor local cuisine, and if you're up for it, hike to the island's highest point for a sunset that frames the lake in golden hues.
Day 2: Amantani - Taquile - Puno
After breakfast with your host family, wave goodbye to Amantani and make your way to Taquile Island. Taquile is renowned for its intricate handwoven textiles and clothing, which are considered among the finest handicrafts in Peru. Walk through the terraced landscape, visit the local community, and enjoy a traditional lunch with panoramic views of the lake. Conclude your tour with a return boat trip to Puno.
