Description
Your Waqrapukara adventure begins with an early hotel pickup in Cusco, followed by a scenic drive with a stop at a local restaurant to enjoy a hearty breakfast.
After your meal, you'll continue by vehicle to the trailhead in Santa Lucia, passing lush meadows and the serene Pomacanchi Lagoon along the way. Your guided hike begins shortly after arrival. The trail to Waqrapukara takes approximately two hours, ascending to an altitude of 4,300 meters (14,107 feet).
You’ll have about an hour to explore the ruins, learn about their fascinating history from your guide, and capture some incredible photos before beginning the return trek to Santa Lucia. Back at the lunch spot, you’ll enjoy your box lunch before making the drive back to your hotel in Cusco, arriving inspired, and full of unforgettable memories.
