  • Statement: Machu Picchu citadel will remain open to tourists during annual maintenance of the Inca Trail
  • As has been done regularly since 2000, the Inca Trail will be closed for maintenance work from February 1 to February 28, 2019.
 
The visitors entrance to the Inca Trail will resume on March 1, 2019, once the maintenance and cleaning work carried out by the Machupicchu Historic Sanctuary Headquarters -SERNANP in coordination with Cusco's Decentralized Directorate of Culture has been completed.
