I'll mention the good points first, but read to the end. The hotel itself is nice. The reception staff were very helpful, especially a very attentive young man on the night shift named Kevin, who kindly provided us with hot water and even some utensils we requested. The fact that it's located in a passageway makes it quiet and allows for a good night's sleep. It's close to various shops in the same passageway where you can buy different snacks, drinks, and other food items, including a bakery just two blocks away. There's also a shopping center around the corner. Now for the bad: Unfortunately, it's only suitable if you plan to get up at 6:30 a.m., as it has two major problems: the hotel's layout and the morning routine, making it impossible to rest after that time. For one thing, the loud noise from the TV in the dining room starts at 6:30 a.m. They don't care at all (you can see the same problem in other reviews), and their excuse is that the TV remote is missing, so they can't lower the volume (but they don't turn it off either). If you keep complaining, the remote magically reappears, but without batteries. If you complain even more, they finally put batteries in. By the time they lower the volume or decide to turn off the TV, it's already around 9 a.m., which is conveniently when breakfast ends, and at the same time, you just don't feel like resting anymore. On the other hand, there's the infrastructure, since this problem isn't limited to rooms near the dining area. In the hallways on each floor, there are floor-to-ceiling grilles that allow noise to pass from one floor to another, making it easy for noise from any floor (in this case, the dining area) to spread throughout the entire hotel, regardless of whether you're near or far from the dining area or any other noise source. In our case, we paid S/ 130.00 (approximately US$ 37.00) per night for a double room including two breakfasts. However, due to our complaint that morning, we received a 50% refund after a heated and mocking (not on our part) phone conversation with the supposed manager or owner of the hotel, an unprofessional man named Cesar, who repeatedly denied any problem and insisted he had no obligation to refund us a single cent. Thankfully, after almost half an hour of discussion, he finally came around. In conclusion, the price isn't bad, but if you decide to stay here, keep these details in mind and take precautions.
