A local stay tip

If you’re spending time in Lima, try booking accommodation in Barranco. Locals appreciate this neighborhood because it’s quieter on weeknights compared to Miraflores yet still offers excellent cafes, small galleries, and a relaxed vibe. It’s ideal for avoiding the tourist rush but still being close enough to the coast and city center. Plus, the local hosts tend to be more involved in the neighborhood culture, which often gives you a better sense of the everyday life in Peru’s capital.
