Description

Once you book, I´m going to contact you to ask for your shoe size (EU/US) and the size of your pants (XS,S,M,L,XL). The meeting point will be at 7:00 a.m. at the Embassy of the United States, Encalada Avenue in the district of Santiago de Surco. We’ll begin by getting to know each other and~ learning~ discussing about your previous rock-climbing experience, if any. Then, you’ll try on the equipment (harness, helmet, and climbing shoes) and make sure you feel comfortable before heading to Las Cuevas, a popular climbing spot in the La Molina district. The weather is really sunny during the summer so a long sleeve top/t-shirt is recommended for additional sun protection as well as a good sunscreen. At least 1.5 liters of water per person should be brought. This course is offered to complete beginners and intermediate climbers who want to experience sport climbing on single-pitch routes near the city Lima. I will introduce you to essential climbing techniques, safety practices, and gear use, so you feel secure and confident on the wall. (It is very important to mention) Please note that good physical condition is required to perform this activity. To reach the climbing area, we’ll either take a 30 to 45 minutes walk uphill depending on the pace. Once At the base of the stunning walls, you will learn the essential climbing techniques and have the opportunity to enjoy 4 to 7 routes over 5 to 6 hours. The difficulty of each route will be carefully adapted to your skills and previous experience, with routes starting at the 4th grade (French scale). Most people in good physical condition can usually try 5th-grade routes on their very first climb. Throughout the climb, I will provide personalised coaching, tips for safety, and encouragement so you can challenge yourself with confidence while having fun. The climbing area offers beautiful views of Lima. After the climb, we’ll return to Encalada Avenue together by car (transport is included). Throughout the day, your safety is also a top priority, with equipment, personalised guidance, and friendly professional instruction to ensure you feel confident, supported, and fully enjoy every moment of your climb.
