A great place to stay! Beautiful, clean, QUIET, and exceptionally comfortable large room/cabin with a direct view of Gocta. We enjoyed watching the clouds come and go throughout the day. A truly spectacular view. There are several extra touches like a kettle in the room with tea and coffee. We had planned to stay 2 nights but extended for a third to have a day to relax and read. The staff are super kind and accommodating. There is a common area in the lodge with comfortable seating. Breakfast (very good) is included and other meals are available at S/40. Choices were chicken, pork, trout, or beef with the typical sides, a drink, and dessert. The food was well prepared, not at all greasy, and made to order, which was a welcome break from heavier meals elsewhere. It's about a 10 minute walk into town if you do not have a car. The walk is steep, but if you're in Cocachimba to hike you can certainly make the walk without a problem. This is a very safe area and it's completely fine to walk back from town after dark. They even provide flashlights, which you will need to walk to and from the lodge after dark. For people with fragrance sensitives: 100% recommended! The bedding had no scent and they do not use air fresheners.
