Coronavirus: information for travelers

Foreign travelers who arrive with symptoms

If you have symptoms upon arrival, you will be assessed at the airport module and, depending on your health status, you may be referred to home isolation or be admitted.

If you are recommended for home isolation for 14 days, please follow the recommendations below:
  • Stay in a single, adequately ventilated room (windows and door open).
  • Minimize the use of shared spaces (kitchen, living room, among others) and ensure that these spaces are well ventilated (leaving windows open).
  • Wear a mask if you have to be in common areas of the hotel/accommodation/post or near other people.
  • Rest and avoid activities that demand physical activity.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with your forearm or a tissue when you cough or sneeze, and dispose of tissues in a closed container.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds to lather, or with an alcohol-based lotion (if soap and water are not available), especially after using the tissues, coughing, or sneezing.

Where should I isolate myself?
According to medical evaluation, you should isolate yourself at the hotel/accommodation/residence of your arranged trip or at the designated health facility.

What should I do if my symptoms worsen?
In case you have a fever, cough and breathing problems, call 106 and inform them of your trip and symptoms. Health personnel will come to your home to take a sample and, if necessary, you will be transferred to one of the hospitals equipped to treat patients with coronavirus.
