Description

We will start with the pick up from your hotel to go to the district of Cusipata passing through valleys and small lakes until we reach the village of Cusipata where we will make a short stop to enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet. After having enjoyed breakfast we will continue with the trip to Chilliwani place where our hike begins to the sacred mountain of Vinicunca (5200 masl), our walk will last about 1 hour and 30 minutes, at a moderate pace on the way to mountain of 7 colors we can appreciate the mountain range of Vilcanota to reach the viewpoint of the mountain of 7 colors better known as the Rainbow mountain, it is because its colors resemble the Rainbow. After the visit we will start with the descent to Chilliwani to board the transport to return to the city of Cusco, but before making a stop in the town of Paucarpata to enjoy a buffet lunch.

Important Information

  • The Raimbow Mountain is at 5,150 meters above sea level so you have to acclimatize at least two days in Cuzco. You should wear appropriate clothing for this excursion. Bring a rain poncho, sunglasses, hat and sunscreen. You can buy the entrance ticket at the same place with the support of our guide.
