Description
Forget the restaurants, tonight Peru comes to you in a local Lima kitchen.
Where aromas of lime, garlic, and sizzling spices drift from the kitchen. Your host welcomes you as a guest, not a customer, sharing the flavors Peruvians prepare for family and friends.
Expect ceviche that tingles with citrus, empanadas with a golden, flaky crust, and anticuchos grilled over open flame until smoky and tender.
Alongside, taste Peru’s favorite drinks, a refreshing chicha morada and a frothy pisco sour mixed just for you.
Each dish carries a memory: Indigenous roots, Spanish tradition, African flair, stories that reveal why Peruvian food is considered among the world’s most vibrant.
Between bites, conversation flows easily.
You’ll learn tips, laugh over family anecdotes, and discover the secret ingredients that make local cooking so soulful. This isn’t a class or a staged tasting; it’s an invitation to step into everyday life.
Small groups only (max 8) ensure a relaxed, convivial atmosphere. Come hungry, leave with new friends, recipes to treasure, and the warmth of a Peruvian home.

What makes this activity unique?
The real taste of Lima isn’t found in restaurants, it’s shared at home. Here, you’re welcomed into a family kitchen, where warmth and tradition come together in every bite.
This experience is more than a tasting. It’s the crackle of anticuchos sizzling on the grill, the citrusy kick of ceviche prepared with a local touch, the sweetness of a homemade suspiro limeño. Each recipe carries stories passed down through generations, blending Indigenous roots, Spanish heritage, and Afro-Peruvian rhythm.
Guests often describe it as “the moment our trip to Peru became personal.” That’s because you’re not just eating, you’re connecting: laughing, learning, and raising a glass of pisco sour with new friends.
This isn’t a staged tour, it’s your backstage pass to Peru’s food soul, a once-in-a-trip chance to experience true Peruvian hospitality.
Reserve early, spaces fill quickly, and seats at this family table are few.
