Day 1: Tour to the Vinicunca Colored Mountain in one day Early departure from Cusco: The tour usually starts early in the morning, around 4 to 5:00 a.m. m., with pickup from your hotel in Cusco or a designated meeting point. Bus trip: You will board a bus that will take you from Cusco to the starting point of the walk, which can take around 3 hours of travel. Breakfast en route: Along the way, we stop at a local restaurant to enjoy an energetic breakfast before the hike. Start of the hike: You will arrive at the starting point of the hike around sunrise. Here, you will receive a brief orientation from the guide and you can begin the hike to the Montaña de Colores. Walk to Vinicunca: The walk to Vinicunca can take 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on the speed of the group and the conditions of the terrain. Time at the Mountain of Colors: Upon reaching the top, you will have time to explore the Mountain of Colors, take photos and enjoy the panoramic views. Descent and return to Cusco: After enjoying the Montaña de Colores, you will begin the descent back to the starting point of the walk, 1 hour and 30 minutes Return to Cusco: Once back at the starting point, you will meet the bus that will take you back to Cusco. Arrival in Cusco: The tour generally concludes in Cusco in the afternoon approximately 5:40 pm the walk ends one block from the Cusco main square Please note that a day tour to the Montaña de Colores is exhausting due to the distance and altitude, so it is essential to be in good physical condition and well acclimatized to Cusco's altitude before embarking on this adventure.
