Description
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco to visit the town of Chinchero, a traditional settlement with a beautiful view of the valley. The inhabitants of the area preserve the artisan traditions and the inherited knowledge of the Incas. You will learn about their traditions from your professional guide, and be able to visit archaeological remains and a beautiful seventeenth-century church. From Chinchero, you will be transferred to the Living Museum of Yucay, a centre for Andean tradition. Here you can watch demonstrations of textile work, adobe, pottery, and silverware be carried out the same way they were in the 13th Century. Transfer to Ollantaytambo where you have free time for lunch. Afterwards, you can visit the town and local archaeological site and climb the iconic fortress. *Visits on Sundays include a tour to the Chinchero market.Includes
