Ollantaytambo - Urubamba - Maras - Moray - Chinchero - Cusco Your epic Sacred Valley Tour from Ollantaytambo starts with a tour of Ollantaytambo ruins. Ollantaytambo is a perfect example of Incan architecture. Here our local expert would walk with you to the ruins that once served as a fortress. You would get a detailed overview on different areas of the archaeological complex with a bit of history for a detailed understanding. After touring the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, we will drive to Urubamba town, also known as the heart of Sacred Valley. On our way to Maras Moray, we will be having a brief stop in Urubamba. Here you can savor the traditional fermented drink, Frutillada. It is made using strawberries. After savoring this traditional beverage, we will be driving you Moray. Home to circular farming terraces. At Moray, you will be familiarized with the different methods of farming that were invented by Incas and are practiced even today. Our next stop will be in Maras. Maras is known for its Salt Mines; those are picturesque and the salt produced here has a distinct taste. Here we will have a guided tour where our local expert would talk with you on methods of Salt Farming which has been existent since pre Incan times. Our last stop will be in Chinchero. Home to Andean textile weavers. Our local expert would guide you on a short tour of the agricultural terrace which has been quite prominent since Incan civilisation.
