Their story begins in 1994: Gastón Acurio and Astrid Gutsche, newly arrived from studying cooking in Paris, founded the restaurant in a small house in Miraflores. At the beginning, very French, according to the world trend. Then, over the years, decidedly Peruvian; willing to revalue inputs and recipes, and with the clear objective of promoting our gastronomy in the world.
Year 2014, their twentieth anniversary. They left Cantuarias to start a new project: to settle in Casa Moreyra, the old house of the San Isidro farm, more than 300 years old. Today, Gastón and Astrid, together with a young team of chefs, constantly renew their proposal.
Astrid & Gastón's is a family. A large, varied and multidisciplinary. Cooks, confectioners, waiters, sommeliers, mixologists, maintenance people, an engineer in food industries, administrators, and more.
