Come and become a local by shopping at the Central Market, discover all about Peruvian food. Get to know Peru through its gastronomy with a glass of Pisco sour during the cooking class stage. Taste exotic fruits. With the help of your local chef, visit the local central market and find exotic ingredients, and learn how to cook your favorite Peruvian food, while learning about traditional ways of life. Enjoy the food you prepared as if you were dining in a restaurant. WHAT DO YOU DO IN THE CLASSIC COOKING CLASS? 1) You will start the cooking class by reviewing the recipe and making a shopping list for the market. 2) You will taste some exotic fruits of the season. 3) You will walk with the Chef to the nearby local central market to get the missing ingredient for the menu. 4) Return to the kitchen to prepare your menu. Prepare a drink + starter + main course and enjoy our local chocolate dessert. Enjoy the food you prepared as if you were dining in a restaurant. 5) Finally, you will enjoy eating the menu you have prepared as if you were dining in a restaurant. Vegetarian options are available, please advise if you have specific dietary requirements at the time of booking. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: All ingredients and materials are included in the price. The class is available in English or Spanish. Arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of the class. Communicate any specific dietary requirements at the time of booking. This cooking class is ideal for all ages and skill levels. If the participant is 11 years old or younger we offer a different price. Children prepare lemonade instead of Pisco sour. Free bottle of filtered water during your cooking class. NOTE: All participants prepare the same menu during the cooking class. Ceviche Fish marinated in lime juice, chili, cilantro, celery, ginger, milk and onion served cold with fresh corn and sweet potato. Discover the Peruvian leche de tigre. NOTE: vegetarian available. Lomo Saltado Sliced beef tenderloin sautéed with onion, tomato, vinegar and soy sauce. Served with french fries and rice. NOTE: vegetarian available. Pisco sour Peruvian national drink, cocktail made with Peruvian pisco, lemon juice, syrup, egg white, ice cubes and angostura/bitters. NOTE: in case of not drinking alcohol we make Lemonade.
