Excellent meal at Rogoto. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and every dish was full of flavor. Great value for the quality of food, served in a charming rustic setting with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and professional throughout. Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit.
Had a really lovely experience at Roqoto in Puno. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, with a great balance between traditional Peruvian flavors and modern touches. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, perfect for enjoying a good meal after exploring the city.
Wonderful food, vibrant, fresh & beautifully presented. The Octopus salad & highland salad for starters were particularly good. Alpaca steak with quinoa & the Arequipean potato cake were also tasty. The portions were large, too large for us as we would have liked dessert but couldn't manage it. Sadly the place was empty except for us when, with the great food they sell, it should be full all the time. Just slightly off the beaten track, a block from Plaza de Armas & away from the tourist traps, well worth a 3 minute walk for fabulous food.
It has an awesome offering of local food. Something for everyone, vegan or carnivore. Bring an appetite, you will need it. Good selection of drinks. Food is wonderful, perfect for travellers... Safe food.
We we visited as part of a food tour. It was lovely. The ambience. The plating. The service. All were fantastic. We tried the alpaca which was a little rare for our tastes, and the cuy, which was a little overdone to our taste, but the flavors in general were wonderful. The colors and textures were delightful.
