Owner welcomed us warmly, gave us a clear background of his restaurant. They utilize natural ingredients from local farms which is quite interesting. We tried their house made refresca one raspberry and one coffee. Incredibly refreshing/delicious considering the freshness and unique flavor complex. Everything else we had from the potato con queso appetizer, from the main course dish, and dessert was just delicious. One of the most memorable restaurant/food experiences I've had in Peru so far. Totally recommend checking out Jama.
I had an amazing meal at Jama. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting Huaraz. What a great and friendly young chef chasing his dreams. The dishes were super tasty and packed with flavors and for these prices it’s crazy cheap. Beautifully locally sourced produce combined in wonderful dishes. Also thank you to the younger staff in the kitchen that did a great job! It would be logical if in the coming months the small restaurant is full everyday that it’s open.
