We visited on Father's Day and had a great experience. A big part of that was thanks to the waiter who looked after our table. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but he was an older gentleman who was incredibly attentive, professional, and respectful throughout our meal. The food was delicious, and everything we ordered was very tasty with high quality ingredients. We ordered one of our dishes with very specific dietary requirements, and although there was one mistake, the staff handled it exceptionally well and even offered us a complimentary dessert. Given how detailed our request was, I completely understand that mistakes can happen, and I really appreciated how thoughtfully they resolved it. The restaurant itself is comfortable and has a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I would happily return.
A short walk from the fancy hotels, and worth it. We stayed in Urubamba for four nights before the Inca Trail. The first two we ate at our hotel restaurant, which was lovely, but we wanted to explore the area, so we looked around and found this place a short walk away. Less than half the price, fresh local ingredients, food that tasted just as good, and a more relaxed feel. There's a covered patio with fresh air and patio heaters for when it gets cold, which was a lovely place to eat. The food had a real home-cooked feel and everything was delicious. We had the octopus, the osso buco (a very generous portion, soft and melt-in-your-mouth), the trigotto, which was very tasty, the trout tartare, and a whole grilled trout with roasted potatoes and their chimichurri. Pisco sours and muña tea to finish. The service was warm without being intrusive. We came back a second night and would have come a third if we weren't leaving. Friendly people, fresh local food, fair prices.
Amazing lunch experience after a long morning of visiting Sacred Valley sites. We ordered the bone marrow, local trout ceviche and pancetta with rice- all delicious and beautifully prepared. The trout had excellent flavor- like no trout I’d had before. The space is also really lovely and excellent service. If you are looking for Peruvian food with an elegant flair I highly recommend Tierra
Amazing food and service, food took a bit to be served but we ordered the lasagna which takes longer so it was expected. Delicious food. Especially recommend the osobuco lasagna.
This place is centrally located, within walking distance of most hotels and hostels. The restaurant was quiet, the service I received was great, the menu was adequate, and the food was excellent. Tierra Cocina Artesanal is well worth the visit if you are in Urubamba and want a proper sit-down meal. The “Chicha Morada” was amazing!
